Mapping Syracuse
Fall 2023 | ARC 500 Cities of Stories | Instructor: Christina Zhang | Individual

This is a cartography project presenting a series of interactive installations designed to explore nonlinear narrative of the environment that we everyday involve in.

From the sky to the grass, from day and night to the turning of seasons; people come and people go, the land evolves, and all things passing by. Amidst the flow of time and space, we stand as a single, unchanging point, seemingly claiming a small piece of eternity in a fleeting universe. This is not just the story of Syracuse, nor is it only the story of my five years there. It is your story, my story, and their story. It is the story of the past, the present, and the future. And it all begins with a single point, endowed with five senses and with life.
