I am Gina Wenxuan Qiao. I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University and now pursuing Master of Design Study, narrative track, at Harvard Graduate School of Design. 

I have experience in architectural practice, design research and team-based projects since my undergraduate studies. During my graduate studies, I explore deeper into theoretical knowledge and the boundaries of design, experimenting with diverse design fields such as vibe coding, Python, and game design. Ultimately, for me, regardless of the method, the greatest meaning of design lies in creating a story that can move people. This story might offer solace, serve as a warning, or be a story that truly changes people's lives – a design that would bring better life for people. Rather than defining myself as a specific type of designer, I prefer to call myself a storyteller. Even though it may sound somewhat contradictory, during the process of creating visual art, I've found that visual designs could really say more than words.

I was trained as an architect, but my interests extend far beyond architecture. I love experimenting with various artistic and design mediums, including but not limited to painting in various traditional media, short films, games, and installations. I have a long-standing habit of painting, photography, and writing essays. I have participated in two game jams and was fortunate enough to win a national award in one of them. I also held a painting exhibition during my undergraduate studies.  Additionally, I love music; I've studied drums, and music is one of my greatest sources of inspiration. My academic interests include, but are not limited to, the history of early film development, film theory, Egyptology, media and narrative theory, psychology, and philosophy. I also have a great interest in Eastern Buddhist and Taoist philosophy.

About this website: DNT is one of my most used pen name. Gio in the domain name comes from my hometown, Shanghai's, pronunciation of Qiao. Joe also works in that sense but I like Italian food (and word play) a lot.
